Many years ago my father was unwell after seeing the results of natural medicine on him i got interested. I did general nursing but could not complete due to sever concussion after a car accident. Being unable to finish my final certification in nursing i sort help from natural medicine. In 1973 qualified as a Naturopath in New Zealand, I moved to Australia and complete a homoeopathic course from UK. I became an Osteopath but to be allowed to practice i had to complete a second Naturopathic Diploma to be able to practice in Australia. Then compulsory registration for Chiropractors happened. There was no Government Osteopathic registration in Australia at that time. So i did more studies to be a chiropractor in order to practice manipulation. I’m a qualified nutritionist specialising in gut health and autoimmune disease. I support clients with everything from digestive symptoms like bloating and IBS to improving overall gut health, reducing chronic inflammation, and managing autoimmune symptoms. My approach looks at the many areas of wellbeing that influence gut health, chronic disease, and overall vitality, from nutrition and lifestyle to nervous system regulation and mindset. I also integrate functional testing where appropriate to create personalised, evidence-based programs tailored to each individual. Having lived with coeliac disease and autoimmune arthritis (JIA) since a young age, I understand firsthand the challenges that come with chronic illness and gut health struggles. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the body’s ability to heal when supported holistically. After many years of relying on medication to manage my autoimmune arthritis, I’m now in remission, managing my health through nutrition, lifestyle, and a balanced approach to wellness.
Hi, I'm Victoria and I am here to help you achieve health in all seasons, no matter where you are starting from. I am passionate about seeing people heal from chronic disease and improve their mental and physical health. I am an AARPN registered Certified Practicing Nutritionist (CPN) with a bachelors degree in Clinical Nutrition. I believe in nutrition and lifestyle first, because if the foundation is poor you can throw every supplement under the sun at your body and it will only produce short term results at best. I am able to offer functional pathology testing and as an AARPN recognised CPN I have TGA schedule 1 exemption, meaning under Australian Law I have independent prescribing capacity and can prescribe personalised compounded nutraceuticals and practitioner only products to patients. My life experience and academic interests have drawn me to many areas of focus, particularly mitochondrial and metabolic dysfunction and the impacts it has on brain health; particularly mental health (including mood disorders - Bipolar Disorders, Major Depressive Disorder, GAD, and Panic Disorders) neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD & ASD), neuro-inflammation and cognitive decline. I have undertaken continued education in: - Clinical Care for Autistic Adults (Harvard Medical School) - Common Causes and Treatments of Depression in Children and Adolescents (Stanford School of Medicine) - Women’s Health: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (Stanford School of Medicine) Please note: EPC/ Chronic care plans are for patients without Private Health Insurance.
