Overview
My name is Mari, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Naturopathy from Endeavour College of Natural Health. Originally from Finland, I am also a qualified registered nurse, with a few years of experience working in the Emergency Department before settling in Australia. My background includes service as a nurse in the Finnish Defence Forces, along with a certification in sports massage.
With over 10 years of experience in healthcare, I have developed strong practical skills and a deep understanding of patient care. While working within conventional medicine, I often encountered limitations that led me to seek a more comprehensive approach. Naturopathy has provided me with a deeper understanding of disease and the ability to support health through a truly holistic lens.
Naturopathy is not only my profession but also my passion. I practise what I preach and am dedicated to empowering others through education. I believe in supporting people in taking an active role in their health—helping them understand their bodies, their needs, and how to achieve lasting well-being and prevent disease.
My approach to care is holistic and individualised. I assess each person through detailed consultations, including symptoms, medical and family history, diet, lifestyle, and relevant pathology results. Where appropriate, I incorporate functional testing to identify the root causes of health concerns. From this, I create personalised treatment plans and provide ongoing support throughout the wellness journey.
In practice, I utilise a combination of dietary and lifestyle modifications, herbal medicine, and nutritional support to restore balance to both body and mind. My approach is based on current scientific research, clinical experience, and traditional knowledge.
