I’m Luke - a Registered Clinical Nutritionist (CNA) and Wellness Educator based in Aotearoa, New Zealand. I help people cut through the confusion of health advice and feel confident in how they nourish their bodies and minds. My background brings together evidence-based nutritional science, psychology, metabolic health, and mindfulness practices. I graduated with first-class honours from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition and later completed specialist Clinical Nutrition training (HPN 2) under the mentorship of Dr. Cliff Harvey at the Holistic Performance Institute, building on earlier studies in psychology at Victoria University. I’ve continued postgraduate learning at institutions including Aberdeen and Deakin University, with a strong focus on clinical nutrition for health conditions, nutritional psychiatry, and metabolic wellness. My work is shaped not just by education, but by lived experience, travel, and curiosity. Yoga teacher training in India deepened my understanding of movement, breath, and cultural perspectives on health, and strengthened my ability to support clients with the mental and emotional aspects of change - not just what’s on their plate. Before establishing my own practice, I gained experience through an internship with health researcher and best-selling author Jason Shon Bennett. Today, I continue to share research and practical tools through writing for the Aotearoa Vegan & Plant-Based Living Magazine, recording my podcast and YouTube content, and running workshops and education programs. Outside of work, you’ll likely find me in nature - surfing, cycling, lifting weights, or tending to my vegetable garden. I believe well-being exists at the intersection of nourishment, movement, and mindfulness. My mission is simple: to bridge the gap between clinical science and real-life application - empowering you to build sustainable habits, develop a healthier relationship with food, and feel more vibrant, grounded, and capable every day. My Website I am available each day for online sessions and have in-person sessions available on Wednesdays at my clinic in Titirangi. I am a degree-qualified Naturopath with a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) from Endeavour College of Natural Health and over five years of clinical experience helping patients achieve sustainable improvements in their health and wellbeing. As a qualified Metabolic Balance Practitioner, I have a particular interest in weight management, metabolism, hormonal health, digestive health, and supporting patients through personalised nutrition and lifestyle strategies. I am passionate about functional testing and firmly believe in the principle of "test, don't guess," using appropriate investigations to identify the underlying drivers of symptoms and create targeted treatment plans. My approach centres on restoring the fundamental pillars of health — nutrition, sleep, stress management, movement, and lifestyle. I believe that when these foundations are optimised, the body is often able to achieve remarkable improvements in health and vitality. I also believe in keeping treatment simple and purposeful. Rather than overprescribing supplements, I prefer to focus on addressing the root cause of health concerns and prescribing only one or two key supplements where appropriate. This allows both practitioner and patient to clearly assess what is working while avoiding unnecessary complexity and expense. I strive to provide practical, evidence-informed, and compassionate care that empowers patients to understand their bodies, take control of their health, and achieve long-term, sustainable results.
I have spent my entire working life in the health industry, initially as a Registered Nurse, and as a Naturopath since January 1996! Thirty years of helping people find the answers to their health concerns! I aim to address the real cause of your not feeling well, whether it be mental, physical or spiritual - mind, body or soul. I practice both in-clinic and on-line as a Naturopath, in-clinic as a Bowen Therapist. I use herbs by drop dosing and made into creams, and supplements. I like to search out the true root causes of your physical illness, by addressing your known and unknown inner beliefs. I encourage testing only when required but you knowing your body is a great start. Personally, I am a wife, mum to 7 and granny to many (25 at last count!), a Christian and I love to paint :-)
