I am an Accredited Practicing Dietitian with 50 years of firsthand experience in managing diabetes. Having navigated the challenges of diabetes from childhood to adulthood, I possess unique insights that enrich the personalized advice I offer to my clients.
My approach emphasizes the relationship between food and blood glucose levels. I guide clients through healthy eating practices, incorporating carbohydrate recognition, carbohydrate counting, and an understanding of the glycemic index to manage diabetes effectively.
In addition to my expertise in diabetes management, I specialize in weight management. I am committed to assisting clients in achieving weight loss goals, thereby improving overall well-being and promoting general health. Through this process, I focus on fostering long-term, sustainable healthy eating habits.
I have a particular interest in helping individuals at the pre-diabetes stage reduce their risk of developing diabetes through weight loss. Recognizing that there are various strategies for weight management, I offer personalized guidance to find the approach that best fits each client's needs. Furthermore, I am accredited to implement structured Very Low Calorie / Energy Diets (VLED / VLCD) for rapid weight loss, remission of Type 2 diabetes, and effective weight management.
